We played to a packed house there in January and we're excited to play this fantastic venue again. We're excited to announce our early 2011 schedule to all our fans and supporters: Sat. Sue and Justin have really improved this venue. They have GREAT food and drinks! Due to the rainy, soggy, stormy weather, the Case of the Blues show at the Motorcycle Rodeo scheduled for June 12 (today) has been canceled. The band members were looking forward to building upon the momentum started during last night's gig at the Adobe Lounge in Boone. Despite today's cancellation, we're happy that many of our followers made it to last night's show. We're working hard to secure additional dates, and hope to see you at a Case of the Blues show this summer. Thanks again for all your support, and suggestions that have helped us become such a successful band. For the fourth time in the last 12 months, the Case of the Blues has been booked to play the Adobe Lounge in Boone, IA. We have always enjoyed playing here as it's only a few blocks away from The COB studios where we rehearse and record our original music. Information about the event below: The Boone Pavilion Jam Organization is a non-profit group that hosts a weekend of great local music and talent in Boone, Iowa. This years 2010 event is being held August 7th and 8th, times 12 pm-9pm. The Jam is held in the Herman Park Pavilion, located at the corner of South Greene St and Woodland Dr. All profits we make are donated to our counties food pantry, otherwise known as Red Rock Action Community Center of Boone. This year is our 19th year!! Every year we pack the stage with a line-up of the best local musicians. 2010 musicians are still being contacted. Thanks to everyone who took an interest! Every year we honor someone with our "Band of the Year" award. This honor is given to someone who shows devotion to our event and willingness to contribute. Who will it be this year? You'll have to come out to see! As always, we will have many different fundraisers going on at the time of the event. We will have meals available for sale that have been provided by local busineses. This year's menu will be BBQ Pork sandwiches and Fried Turkey, potato salad, and chips. We will also have 2010 T-Shirts available in sizes S-XXL. Anything bigger, we request that you let us know ahead of time so it can be specially ordered for you. We will also have previous years T-Shirts available for sale as well. Brad 'bebad' McCloud and The Case of the Blues band is slated to play on Thursday, April 8th at 8:00 pm at Zimm's food and spirits in Des Moines, Iowa (see map and link below). This will be the first round competition for the Iowa Blues Challenge. Case of the Blues will be the 2nd band of the night out of 5 total bands playing at the Zimm's venue. The top 2 bands will be sent to the finals, to also be held in Des Moines in May. The winner of the finals will be entered in the 2011 International Blues competition to be held in Memphis, TN. And we also have some great news to share! Our entry for the 2010 Iowa Blues Challenge has been mailed to the Central Iowa Blues Society. This will be the third entry for "The Case of the Blues" and we're hoping for a third-times-a-charm performance this year. First round will be held this April at both "Zims" and "Blues on Grand". With our new band line-up and some great new original songs from 'bebad' himself, we're looking to enlighten and impress even the most discriminating blues listeners from the greater Des Moines area!
